Beginning this fall, Professor Ling-lin Ku will join Oberlin’s College of Arts and Sciences and Conservatory of Music as Assistant Professor of Studio Art.
Professor Ling-lin Ku joined the School of Art in 2022 as a faculty member in Sculpture. A multimedia artist whose practice merges traditional techniques with emerging technologies, her sculptural installations are known for being materially rich, playful, and conceptually layered. During her time at Carnegie Mellon, Ku made a meaningful impact through both her teaching and artistic practice. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, with solo exhibitions at CUE Art Foundation (NYC), 18th Street Arts Center (LA), La Heurta Gallery (Barcelona), and Atelier 11 (Paris). She is the recipient of several prestigious awards, including the Seebach Prize in Fine Art from the American Austrian Foundation, the Houston Artadia Fellowship, and the International Sculpture Center’s Innovator Award.
We congratulate Professor Ku on this exciting next chapter at Oberlin and thank her for the countless contributions she’s made to our community!
